Betsy Stewart moved from England to Santa Rosa in 1959. After earning her Certified Public Accountant designation, she taught Managerial Finance at her alma mater, Sonoma State University.
“During my years of experience in public accounting I have developed a keen interest in and knowledge of revenue recognition methodologies. My background also includes in-depth knowledge relevant to the fields of publishing, wine, farming, real estate development, and construction.”

Linda Kachiu is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and has resided in Sonoma County for the last 20 years. Her experience has an emphasis in audit and accounting services, in addition to extensive internal management organizational development and design with businesses. She enjoys working with businesses in a variety of industries, particularly those whose customer and client experiences are paramount to the business’ success.
Linda provides training and expertise in the tax exempt arena, which includes charitable institutions, trade associations, and private foundations. Linda is the lead director for the firm’s technology.
Linda is active in local community organizations, such as the Sonoma County Economic Development Board and its related Foundation and the Sonoma County Food and Wine Center. She is also a United States representative on the DFK International board, a worldwide association of independent accounting firms, to which the firm belongs.
“My interest in organizational design and development allows me to use my creativity while working with clients to help them find solutions to meet the needs of their particular situations. I enjoy working in non-traditional areas and finding new ways to accomplish, and oftentimes exceed, my clients’ goals. My strong background in auditing, accounting, business management and traditional services serves me well as a foundation for the creativity I most enjoy. I am a mountain biker and an avid snow skier, two areas where technical expertise and creativity work together for an exceptionally satisfying experience.”

Linda Lampson is a Sonoma County native. She has been employed at ZRC since 1989 and became certified in 1992. Linda works primarily with individuals, trusts and estates, and family-owned businesses. She is a recognized specialist in trust and estate taxation and is a member of the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council. She also consults on retirement planning, including distribution issues related to qualified plans and IRAs.
"Becoming a director a ZRC has allowed me to participate more fully in the management and growth of the firm. I am excited by the variety of services we provide for clients and the changes in this profession in a digital age.
Through my work in estate planning and trust taxation I am privileged to work with families at turning points in their lives. I enjoy helping them with issues of business transition, gifting between generations, and charitable giving as they define what their legacy to the community will be. I am especially satisfied when I can help a surviving spouse solve financial issues and plan for a satisfying and comfortable future.
In my personal life I enjoy international folk dance, travel, my book group, and live theater. My husband, Mark Meierding and I also look forward to spending time with our grown daughters, Emily and Julie.”

Meredith is a CPA licensed in California, and has been practicing in public accounting since 1997. She acts as a supporting team member for her senior associates in addition to taking a leading role in various tax, accounting and consulting engagements. Her dynamic background varies from offering interim controller support for business clients to in-depth financial and tax analysis for individuals. She also specializes wine industry as well as exempt organizations, including private foundations.
Meredith is a member of various professional organizations, such as the American Institute of CPA’s and the California Society of CPA’s. She has also authored articles in highly regarded accounting publications. Meredith is also an active member in the community, serving on the Finance Committee and Board of Directors of the Extended Childcare Coalition, Inc., a local not-for profit organization.
Meredith is also a soccer enthusiast. She spends many weekends on the sidelines of her son Morgan’s games. She also continues her own soccer career through indoor and outdoor leagues in Sonoma County. She also enjoys the evening strolls through the neighborhood with her husband, Louis and their latest addition to the family, John.

Timothy P. Zainer, CPA

Tim came from Illinois to California in 1952. After receiving his MBA, he joined Arthur Andersen & Company in San Francisco, where he honed his expertise in the audit and tax divisions. One year after moving to Sonoma County in 1978, Tim, along with two other former CPAs from Arthur Andersen, formed Zainer Rinehart Clarke. As the developer of ZRC’s tax practice, he continues to take immense pride in fine-tuning and administering its application.
“I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of complex tax issues, tax law, and the tax effects of business transactions, charitable remainder trusts, estates, and partnerships. An avid sports enthusiast, I am also devoted to theater and classical music, passions I share with my wife Pam and my two children, Jeff and Alyssa.”
